Reckless white autoist kills elderly man then flees
In New Orleans on Thursday Alex Alexander Etiene, 70, was struck crossing North Cla bourne avenue near Esplanade Street and died minutes later at Charity Hospital. Witnesses said the two white men in a speeding car did not stop, license number not recovered, Etiene suffered a fractured skull.

Lucie B Christian Scott died at 1015 St James Street after a stroke left her unconscious. She had been ill for over a year but improving. she belonged to the First Baptist Church. A full report will appear in the next issue. The funeral of Mrs S Alexander was held last Sunday at Union Baptist Church with Rev W L Ransome officiating and C S Cunningham in charge.
