South Richmond man killed in Maryland mine disaster
Leroy Eaton, 32, formerly of Twenty second Street South Richmond, died May 19 at Mathew mines near Waynesburg Pennsylvania. An explosion trapped about two hundred workers. forty nine were saved, leaving possibly 158 still in ruins. Eaton’s body will be sent to Richmond to his sister Mrs Beatrice Key at 18 East Coutts Street. he is survived by four sisters and two brothers.
