Two Whites and One Colored Man Dead in Race Clash

Birmingham Alabama May 10 a quiet town near here was rocked by one of the most exciting scenes in the village last Tuesday night in which three men were killed two were white and one Negro John King a miner was among the dead authorities investigated the incident as a racial clash with rumors of gunfire and mob involvement.

Charles Stewart to Lecture in City Sermons and Lectures

Elks Minstrel at the Strand Theatre in Richmond

RichmondColored community announces an Elks Minstrel at the Strand with prominent local figures including Harrison Den Lemuel Eggleston John Burnett and entertainers known as the Silver Tongued tenor Tatum the great Magician and the Jazz Four Quartets. Searcy Arkansas Public Schools Close After Strong Year

Daniel Smith Found Dead in Railroad Tragedy

Daniel Smith aged 50 was found dead on the Southern railroad tracks between Grover and Kings Mountain between Grover and Kings Mountain last Monday morning. The coroner believes he was struck by a train Sunday night.
