Memorial proposal for Guerrant Evangelistic School in Covington
By Rev. I. Cochrane Hunt. At Dr. Guerrant's funeral, Dr. Moses Hoge praised the ministerial life and urged a lasting memorial through a new department named Guerrant Evangelistic School at Lee's Collegiate Institute. The proposed school would train evangelistic workers in the heart of Kentucky's mountains, with Covington, Kentucky as the center.

The Students Association resolves that the seminary remains ordained of God for a great work and pledges unceasing loyalty. It is resolved the minutes reflect these resolutions and copies be sent to Dr A G Jones president of the Board of Trustees and to the Church and State press Daily Texan. The General Assembly's Training School for Lay Workers reports a strong year with 33 enrolled students, 24 boarders, and nine Richmond students. The dormitory at Ginter Park opened, with $4 weekly board, and a new faculty addition includes Dr Edward Mack. The first graduates secured permanent work, and the curriculum expanded with missionary study and women's work. The Presbyterian League funds most expenses. plans include a new campus in Sherwood Park and expansion to 32 to 35 students. The A L Phillips Memorial Fund has drawn limited response beyond churches and individuals.
