Avery of Durham Convicted in Fraud Case
J M Avery of Durham North Carolina was convicted in United States District Court for the fraudulent use of Chesapeake and Ohio Railway passes. He was fined five hundred dollars and sentenced to ninety days in jail, suspended on good behavior for five years. Avery was represented by Joseph R Pollard of Norfolk Virginia and Edward Wolcott of Norfolk Virginia.
