Mitchell Children Injured In Window Fall
The two youngest children of editor R C Mitchell of the Richmond Planet Edith Elizabeth age 2 and Reginald Davis Mitchell age 4 fell from a back window on Harvie Street Thursday afternoon. A grape arbor broke the fall saving them from potentially fatal injuries. They were taken to St Phillips Hospital with the girl reported fair and the boy with internal injuries.
Through Town Gamblers Clean Out Second Street
Reports from the underworld say two gamblers of foreign extraction played “Hail Columbia” with Richmond stud fans. The birds used a system that couldn’t be dented and the boys lost bruised pockets while trying to beat the gentlemen gamblers. Large galleries watched as Richmond tried to regain losses of the night before and nightly sums left Second Street sports. Reliable reports say nearly one thousand dollars were lost within ten days.

Runaway Ada Bolden Holds Off Brother At City Theater
Ada Bolden fourteen fled the Hippodrome pursued by her brother George Bolden twenty. In a chaotic scene of hundreds of onlookers and blocked traffic Ada stabbed George in the arm leg and hand as he cornered her. Police arrived and the crowd dispersed. Ada fled to 206 East Duval Street, the home of a deaf and dumb woman, while claiming her father resided at 502 West Clay Street. She is the daughter of Mrs Susie Bolden of 725 A High Street.
