Boy Walter Perkins Run Down by Highland car
Walter Ri Perkins aged 11 was fatally struck on Fifth Street near Baker Street by a Highland Park streetcar between 11 and noon Sunday. Motorman W M Parker was arrested for involuntary manslaughter after claiming the boy darted in front. Coroner waived inquest. Funeral director Clarence P Hayes prepared the body for public viewing. funeral held Tuesday.
