Night riders murder two Tenn. attorneys at Reelfoot Lake
Two prominent lawyers from Trenton Tenn. were abducted from Ward’s hotel at Walnut Log by masked night riders and killed. Captain Quentin Rankin was found shot and hanged near the lake, Colonel R Z Taylor’s fate unresolved. Authorities from Union City and nearby counties advanced toward the scene to pursue suspects.
