Romantic Matrimony on the Sonora Near Greenville
On the Sonora the couple Lydia Stinson of Evansville and a New Orleans woman wed aboard with Judge Barnett officiating as the ship neared Greenville. The ceremony drew a hundred passengers and a celebratory toast followed as the steamer tied up. Captain La Barge hosted a feast and champagne as all wished the pair long and blissful happiness.
