Miss Mary Benton and Mr Henry Witt, both of Ford, married Thursday afternoon in Louisville. Miss Benton wore a dark blue suit with a black hat and shoes. The bride is daughter of Mr and Mrs L B Benton of Ford and has visited her sister Mrs Marcus List in this city. Witt, a merchant of Ford, is the son of Mr and Mrs Jons Witt. After a wedding trip in the East they will live in Ford.
Mrs. Harry Hanger Jr entertained five tables of Bridge in honor of Miss Elaih Buchanan returning from Shelby North Carolina. Invitations were received to Hamilton College commencement for Miss Nettie Kate Evans. Mary Bent Powers announced the marriage of Mary Katherine Powers to Edward Halbert Pugh. Mrs B J Clay hosted guests including Miss Katherine Clay of Denver and others from Lexington and beyond.
