The weather forecast calls for rain tonight with a Sunday that is fair and cold except for rain in the east portion. The outlook notes a cold wave with light to moderate rainfall confined to the eastern area.
Granville R. Burton president of Crutcher and Starks retail clothiers in Louisville was held to the grand jury on a charge of profiteering. Evidence suggested the firm sold shoes with a 90 percent profit margin and indicated Burton earned a $25,000 yearly salary while the first vice president and secretary earned $15,000.
Frankfort February 20 The House adopted a resolution calling Governor Morrow to retain Joe Boggs as Commissioner of Public Roads. The session also approved a bid to strike a $500 bond requirement for physicians in a prohibition bill and passed a vote removing educational qualifications for women voters in school elections.
Will Gentry, a colored man from the Wace section, was held over to the grand jury by Judge W K Price in county court Saturday on a statutory charge. He was released on his own recognizance until the grand jury meets next week.
State Road Commissioner Joe Boggs arrives from Frankfort and comments that the proposed big road program in the legislature will pass. He expects a plan for an inter county seat system to go through, marking a major infrastructure step.
In Georgetown, Katherine Bradley was entangled in a wire at her photographic studio, thrown to the floor and confined to her home by injuries. The event occurred during a photo session and authorities are investigating the accident.

London Kentucky February 21 Jerry Sizemore a 70 year old feudist from Clay County was convicted of the murder of Joe Hubbard after trial in the Laurel circuit court and sentenced to 21 years in the penitentiary.
Ludwig Martens, a Russian Soviet agent in the United States, told the Senate investigating committee he has been a revolutionist in every country where he lived including Russia Germany and Switzerland. He affirmed he remains a revolutionist and stated he is still active in the United States.
Chicago February 21 Jack Dempsey world heavyweight champion denies plans to split from manager Jack Kearns He says he will keep Kearns as his manager as long as he remains in boxing most likely in a message to friends in Chicago.
James B. Turner of Jackson Tennessee and Stella Mae Johnson is connected to the license. Clara Prewitt, 40, of Richmond, daughter of J D Lear, is listed with Jason Riddell.
Representatives of the railroad brotherhood who met with President Wilson recently on wage demands visited the White House to present a memorial protesting the railroad bill. They say the labor provisions are wholly unacceptable to railroad workers.

Clell Tatum of Paint Lick, a noted semi pro and amateur pitcher, has signed with the 1929 Louisville Colonels. The 22 year old, 5'11" right hander starred for Paint Lick Blues last season hitting .400 with 15 strikeouts per game and once pitched a no hit game against Lexington and Nicholasville stars.
Elwood Hamilton, collector at Louisville, warns that only a small number of 1919 income tax returns have been filed and a March 16 start of vigorous delinquency investigations will enforce penalties. He urges all liable taxpayers to file by March 15, 1920 to avoid severe penalties and government trouble.
W P Kincaid of J P Taylor Tobacco Co returns to Stanford to visit his flu stricken daughter Mrs Mike Burnside and husband. The outbreak hits Lincoln county with many Stanford cases. Mrs Wilson Alexander, 38, dies and her husband Mr Alexander remains gravely ill. The family owns land near the Garrard line and attends Richmond court days to buy mules.

The Louisville Times features Uncle John Schell, 131, of Leslie County, and his five year old son Albert amid Father and Son Week. Born 1788 in Tennessee, Schell recalls Washington and Civil War eras, never learned to read or write, yet remains active on his Mountaintop farm and teaches his son to shoot.
