The Mitchell Taylor farm in Boyle county sold for 84,333.84 dollars to seven buyers, averaging 326.84 per acre for 257.72 acres. Swinebroad and 1,500 people oversaw subdivided tracts selling from 207.50 to 630.00 per acre, with some improvements pushing prices above 1,700 per acre.
Washington April 21 David H Blair of Winston Salem North Carolina was nominated by President Harding to be Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Charles F Martin was renominated Chief of the Weather Bureau
Airplanes will print daily newspapers in flight with Paris and London presses. Editions of the Aerial Mail will be issued in French from Paris and in English from England. Parachutes will drop batches in Boulogne Rouen Amiens and other subscriber cities. Wireless equipment accompanies the printing plants to report politics finance and sports.

Washington April 21 Secretary Weeks announced the organization of a War Staff headed by General Pershing to lead field operations in war. The staff will be separate from the Chief of Staff’s office and will focus on strategy tactics and war organization.
The Interstate Railroad Board ruled the Georgia federal judge violated the transportation act by authorizing wage cuts at the Atlanta Birmingham and Atlantic railroad. It said it cannot act further now and urged workers and owners to resume talks, with a return to the board if no agreement is reached.

Louisville April 21 The American Legion of Kentucky plans to crown a state champion at the Lexington convention in September. Semifinals and finals will be held in Lexington with district play on July 31 and August elimination rounds narrowing to four teams. A double header precedes the convention, with the final winner receiving individual medals and a silver cup for their post.
Cincinnati defeats St Louis 5 to 4 in a tense contest. Rixey singled Fonseca scored on a late squeeze play as Crane sacrificed and Wingo was walked. St Louis tied the game in the ninth before the Reds won. Score by innings shows a close ninth inning finish.
National League games produced a 5 4 Cincinnati win over St Louis and a 4 2 Brooklyn win over Philadelphia. Pittsburg defeated Chicago 6 5 while New York beat Boston 9 5.
In the American League District Nine Cleveland defeated opponents 9 district nine by six, New York beat Boston 8 to 4, Washington won 6 to 4 against Philadelphia, while St. Louis versus Chicago was rained out.

Mrs. Martha Campbell aged 50 dies at her son John Morris home in Pleasant Hill Nicholasville. She leaves four children. Funeral services were conducted at the residence by Rev. W Peel and the body sent to Mc Kee Jackson for burial.
