Captain D I Joachim, John Marshall High School Band director, has been appointed director of the University of Richmond Band. President George M Modlin announced the vote and a 60 piece marching band plan. Joachim will meet interested students today at 4 in the gym trophy room and asks players to bring instruments.

Cohen newly elected president of the Forensic Council invites all men interested in forensic work to meet the Richmond College Debate Team at 1 30 P.M. October 2 in the Playhouse. He was chosen at a council meeting last Tuesday. Applications for team manager will be accepted at the meeting. The debaters plan to travel to eastern colleges.
