Richmond College Freshmen Begin Orientation Week
About 400 freshmen began orientation at Richmond College with welcome remarks by Dean G. J. Gray and Dean Robert Smart in Cannon Memorial Chapel. William Phillips presented the Honor Code as Ellis West introduced Student Government leaders and outlined their functions.

Kick Off Kapers Mix-Up Freshmen Mixer at Westhampton Courts
Tonight September 20 from 8 30 to 10 30 at Westhampton tennis courts the YMCA YWCA present a square dance mixer. Presbyterian minister Bill Plank will call the dances with Bill Day as MC and the YWCA supervising. Hungry Five Plus Two open at 7 45 by North Court before moving to the courts between dances. Upperclassmen and freshmen invited to meet Richmond and Westhampton colleges.

ODK Holds Series of Service Seminars for Freshmen
The ODK Leadership Fraternity sponsors a four day series of freshman service seminars from Monday to Thursday at 4 pm. Topics include campus publications, Fine Arts Council activities, Forensics Council revue and debate, and fraternity rush rules with officer briefs. Open to all freshmen.

Westhampton Welcomes 200 Freshmen During Orientation Week
Westhampton College kicked off orientation with 200 freshmen and transfer students arriving by Sunday. Marguerite Roberts and Josephine Tucker greeted new students, with 27 upperclass counselors guiding tours, supper, and activities from Vesper services to campus traditions. The week featured language tests, campus tours, departmental meetings, and social events hosted by the YWCA YMCA and college groups culminating in a rally and dances.
