University officials outline a new contingent fee to punish dormitory damage after last year’s vandalism of 8100 windows and 85 doors. Robert M. Stone says charges will match damage per student, while Charles Day reports early gains in reduced incidents and hopes for full fee refunds if the plan works.
Walton announces a new member will join the Honor Council next week to fill a vacancy created by William Martin moving to vice president of the Richmond College Student Government Association. The appointee will require ratification by the student Senate and will restore full council membership. Martin resigned as vice-chairman due to duties in his other office. A new vice-chairman is also expected to be chosen next week.
Web pictures of Richmond College students who have not yet received proofs will be available until two o clock Friday afternoon. Al Klafsky, editor of the annual, notes the proofs can be picked up during this time.

Rev. Clarence W. Crawford of Second Baptist Church will inaugurate the year's YMCA lecture series at Richmond College on Thursday at 7 30 in the YMCA building. Joe Cameron, president, said the student body is invited and seating will be arranged for many students. No subject was announced but expected to concern collegiate life. Crawford spoke at the University Religious Emphasis Week and earlier convocation talks.
Westhampton College announces Pi Delta Epsilon taps for Marie Keyser Florence Rhea Talley and Charlotte Anne Beale. Talley, Richmond native, is a Richmond Times-Dispatch reporter and author. Keyser is Collegian managing editor. Beale is Westhampton editor of the Web and handbook editor. Initiation is set for November 16 at 7 30 PM.
University Players host Carolina Playmakers from UNC in a Playhouse show on November 18 at 8 30 pm. Three new one act folk plays titled Soldadera Soldier Woman by Josephina Niggli Three Foolish Virgins by Bernice Kelly Harris Magnolia's Man by Gertrude Wilson Coffin showcased with 50 cent reserved and 35 cent general admission.
At the McNeil Law Society meeting on November 3 four men were selected: J. Westwood Smithers E. P. Shetter W. G. Brown W. M. Lewis and P. Brown. Dean M. Ray Doubles and Professor Ralph T. Catterall spoke on the life of Dr. Walter Scoot McNeil and the Bar Integration Bill background. Additional remarks covered members' bios and campus roles.
