Richmond College Plans Activities Building and Campus Additions
The Richmond College student activities building is in blue print with construction hoped to start after the current conflict. A $1,000,000 building fund supports library and Westhampton dormitory projects, funded by student gifts and society contributions including $125 from the Players' Revue and $75 from the Westhampton Athletic Association.

Medical Services Continue For UR Despite War
Despite wartime disruptions the Health Service Department at the University will maintain services and introduce new measures. Dr. Cullen Pitt, college physician, will be in the gymnasium office most afternoons from 6 30 to 4 00. a student medical assistant Roger Harris is available at Richmond 56 8720. Freshmen were X rayed Nov 1 at the student activities building between 2 30 and 4 00 with results to follow. Early X rays aid tuberculosis detection and treatment.

International Club Sets Unusual Lectures Endowment Books
The S. C. Mitchell Literary Society and International Club held a bi monthly program on October 26 featuring lectures on varied music with a phonograph and records. Speakers Charles Wainman and Bill Hester contrasted semiclassical and modern music then explored Cuban rhythms and conga rhythms. The meeting announced a November 26 banquet and announced Carnegie Endowment funded books for the University of Richmond library including The Great Decision and How New Will the Better World Be among others.

The Greek fraternities plan a formal dance at the Hotel John Marshall on Saturday night November 11 at 9 00 PM with Ray Raymond and his band providing music. Organizers include Ed Pitt C J Graham Jimmy Ellwanger Kenny Howard and chaperone Professor Beverly Jones. Admission is 3 50 and formal attire is required.

War Council Sponsors War Relief at Westhampton Campus
The WC War Council leads a drive to aid American Relief for France with sewing and knitting by Westhampton girls. Facing gauze shortages for bandages the college redirects effort toward stamp sales to beat last year’s $25 000 faculty goal and $3 000 student quota. A November program aims to save time money and resources with posters and a campus canteen on November 18 inviting Navy men and Westhampton girls to participate.
