Tau Kappa Alpha Elects Members at Richmond College
Prof H B Handy A B Rudd and H H Davis were elected to membership in the Richmond Chapter of Tau Kappa Alpha Debating and Forensic Fraternity this spring. Handy has coached many debating teams and served on the Debating and Forensic Council. Rudd has participated with Mu Sigma Rho and served as secretary of the Debating and Forensic Council. Rotella Wins State Oratorical Contest Honors
Joseph Rotella of the University of Richmond won the palm of victory at the thirty second State Oratorical Contest held at Lynchburg College on April 28. His speech Heroes of Obscurity argued that nations rise from the sacrifices of ordinary people rather than diplomats or generals.

Ziontown Band Provides Entertaining Y M C A Program
A Zion Town Band concert presented by a 32 piece colored ensemble drew a full house in the chapel on Thursday the 11th. University employees Willie and Eseau joined on stage with two young women adding gongs, and a collection was taken afterward for band members.

Spiders closed their athletic programme for the year by defeating William and Mary 66 to 60 on Stadium Field last Saturday. Westhampton Freshmen Hold Lantern Night Ceremony
The Westhampton Freshmen observed Lantern Night with a procession of girls in white carrying multicolored lanterns. They circled the lake and hill, entered the court, and sang old and new Westhampton songs. The ceremony, begun last year, is passed to the class of 1925.

Dr Rolvix Harlan of Forestville Maryland and secretary of Social Service and Rural Community Work for the American Baptist Home Mission Board has been elected to the University of Richmond faculty.
