Co-ord Gym Plans Near Completion For Center
Plans for combining the Social Center with the Physical Education Building by Garnen Johnson and Wright will go to the Board of Trustees June 10. The project costs must stay under 160000 with 56000 raised by alumni and the remaining funds hoped as a loan from the Federal Emergency Council. Dr Boatwright sought a loan on March 10 1936 and received a letter citing Executive Order 7034 and review by the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works. Westhampton College design preserves exterior style and features a formal lobby, reception space, and a kitchen adjoining unit.
