University of Richmond to Commence Over 400 Graduates
UR will award more than 400 diplomas as Federal Reserve Bank president Rilhard A. Wayne delivers the commencement address at 8 p.m. June 7 in Luther P. Jenkins Greek Theater. Dr T Rupert Coleman will give the baccalaureate address June 6 at 8 p.m. in the same venue. Wayne has led Richmond community financial and charitable efforts, and Coleman recently served as pastor in Lakeland Florida and Richmond. A President's reception follows June 7 from 3:50 to 4:30 p.m. in Keller Hall.

Westhampton Alumnae Weekend Focuses on Cultural Understanding
The Westhampton Alumnae Weekend June 4 6 centers on Many Cultures One World with four Friday talks by professors on cross cultural issues. Dr Blaine Penninger speaks on William Caxton at 10 00 am and Dr Catherine Pastuhova on The Russian Mind in the 20th Century at 11 00 am. A 2 00 luncheon precedes Dr Ralph McDanel on Southeast Asia. Dr O William Rhodenhiser closes Friday with Religious Values in an Age of Shock. Saturday features Nina Brenner Smith 31 at 11 50 am in Keller Hall and includes tours, a Mumnae meeting, a portrait unveiling, and a luncheon. Wardrobe and dormitory stays arranged.

University of Richmond Business School gains AACSB accreditation
The University of Richmond Business School earned national accreditation from the American Association of Collegiate Schools of Business on its first attempt. The announcement came at an Alumni breakfast with about 100 attendees on May 15, highlighting a five year plan to boost educational quality for future leaders.

Dormitory to Bear Name Of Douglas S Freeman Hall
A new men’s dormitory on the University of Richmond campus will be named Douglas Southall Freeman Hall in honor of alumnus Douglas Southall Freeman. Freeman, who died in 1953, served 25 years on the board of trustees and 15 years as rector, edited the Richmond News Leader, wrote Lee’s Lieutenant’s and biographies of Washington, and won two Pulitzers. University President George M. Modlin cited Freeman’s inspiration to students and his counsel to the administration.
