Tidey Chosen House Speaker with Lamb Wingfield Elected
George F Tidey is named Speaker of the House for the coming year with Skip Lamb as Secretary and Buddy Wingfield as Clerk. Tidey, a Business School junior and Theta Chi member, led Family Weekend and chaired the Athletic Commission. The House notes include blood drives, chapel ushers, campus publicity, and plans for vocational guidance next year. Senate and House plan a Lost and Found office and reforms to the Student Government Constitution. Three committees Judicial Rules and Credentials have submitted reports.

Richmond Quiz Finalists Ready After Semi win by Burke
Kenneth E. Burke Jr of John Marshall High School won a tight semifinal at the University of Richmond earning a $600 prize and a spot in the all boy final for a $1,000 scholarship. He edged Joe A Haley and Judith Watts while Rod ney Myers and Clyde Lee Fields also reached the final. Burke, son of the Rev K E Burke, plans to enter UR as a pre ministerial student in the fall and was named boy most likely to succeed by his seniors.
