Alice Hall Plans India Visit This Summer

Westhampton senior Alice Hall will spend two months in India this summer as an ambire suctor in an experiment in International Living. She was chosen over finalists from Wirwins colleges and will meet with Indian culture and living conditions while gathering insights for international relations efforts.

University of Richmond Spring Concert Band Tonight

The University of Richmond concert band performs tonight at 8 15 in Dennis Auditorium. Under Professor Robert Barker it is one of the finest bands in school history and marks his final campus concert. Awards for outstanding freshman and top performer will be announced, with pieces including Amparito Roca and Porgy and Bess on the program.

The Board of Publications announced next year’s editor positions at the University. Larry Brown becomes editor in chief of the Contos, George Tiller and Tay Wynne hold reporting roles, Mimi Brent leads Web, and Archer Kandlette will be Westhampton editor. Don Dale and Michael Jarrett take senior editorial roles, with Mary Hummell as business manager.

Glee Club and College Choir Present Vocal Pops Concert

Society Plans Final Meeting of McDanes Historical Society

The McDanes Historical Society will hold its final meeting Monday night in the Student Center. The term paper contest winner will present his work, followed by officer elections for next year.

Areopagus To Be Official Club Of English Majors

The Areopagus at Richmond College becomes an official organization for English majors. Membership is limited to juniors and seniors with 15 English hours and a B average who rank in the top third, with honorary membership for English faculty and possibly male graduate students by vote. The group met with Dr. Lionel Trilling last March and plans monthly meetings in 1962 63.
