Frankie Masters and his orchestra with Phyllis Myles perform the first night of the final dances in Millhiser Gymnasium from nine to one. The Swingmasters quartet provide rhythm. A tea concert by Woody Hermann’s band follows Tuesday in the gym from 6:00 to 6:30 P.M.

Dr R C McDanel to lead Thornton Wilder's Our Town on May 30 in the Greek Theatre marking his first Richmond dramatics appearance since 1916. The 1916 Playhouse debut faced stage and curtain challenges with scarce funds and a budget curtain built by a local saltmaker.
