Dr Charles R Brown Dean of Yale Divinity School spoke at the convocation of Richmond and Westhampton Colleges in the University Chapel yesterday noon. True Scholar Address Opens State Oratorical Contest at Randolph-Macon

Fraternities Score Higher in 1926-27 Scholarship Rates
On April 29 Dean W. L. Prince reported statistics during chapel showing college wide pass rates first term 78.9 percent second term 81.66 percent while fraternities achieved 80.38 percent first term and 82.42 percent second term and non fraternities 76.23 percent first term and 81.05 percent second term. The fraternity rates exceed the college average in both terms.

Candidates to Submit Names for Class Offices
All candidates for class offices must hand their names to Lee Gaskins secretary of Student Government no later than Saturday May 1 for publication in the Richmond Collegian. Westhampton Alumna Taught at Hollins for 1927 28
Susie Blair former Westhampton College student body president for 1924-25 was appointed to Hollins College faculty for 1927-28 to teach English and dramatic arts. She will also lead in a production of He Who Gets Slapped and join the Presbyterian Summer School Conference staff directing religious pageants. Blair earned her MA at the University of Virginia this summer and starred as Juliet in Westhampton’s 1925 commencement play.
