Senate Approves Optional Meals at Richmond College
The Richmond College Senate approved a motion to urge University President Modlin to introduce an optional meal plan, ending the dormitory board fee of 200 per semester for residents. The plan offers meal tickets with no dish selection. The body also scheduled the second annual University Dance for Homecoming Weekend.

Local Firms' Book Contest On Display In Library
The Southern Books Competition begins May 5 at the library under the Southeastern Library Association. A display shows how a book is made from binding to final printed page, with machines, type, and the binding process explained. Judges focus on cover design and physical appearance, not literary merit, with Richmond entries from The Attic Press and The William Byrd Press and classics Don Juan, The Marshes of Glynn, and Platero and I also shown.

Price Receives Senior Award From AK Psi Chapter
Cline Raymond Price received the Alpha Kappa Psi Senior Award at a Refectory dinner on Friday April 25. Delta Zeta Chapter presents the certificate to the top senior in the University School of Business Administration for a 2.86 GPA. Price, of Hot Springs NC, also earned The Alpha Society Phi Beta Kappa freshman year and the Virginia CPA chapter accounting award this year.
