Scholarships Favored In Second Twenty Million Plan
A senate sub committee in Keller Hall heard tentative recommendations for allocating the second part of the Our Time in History endowment totaling 20 million dollars. The plan reserves 8.8 million for scholarships and grants with 15 million available after 5 million is set for the physical plant. The proposed 6 percent annual income yields 750 thousand dollars for distribution across merit need and specialty scholarships including performing arts minority students law and graduate programs. Michael Hawkes the student member criticized the plan and urged more funds for scholarships.

Trustees Approve 14.3 Million Budget For 1975 76
University of Richmond board approves a 14.3 million operating budget for 1975 76, about one million higher than the current year. Most of the increase funds faculty salaries. other rises cover food fuel and education costs. Four faculty promoted to full professor and several named associate professors with tenure.
