The Richmond College House of Representatives advances Family Weekend with an appropriation request to the Senate for the reception. Speaker Ken Hodder assigns George Tidey to arrange athletic and musical events while Bill Deep and Bob Burrus handle additional entertainment and PA needs. Class visitation schedules and Saturday shop hours for visitors are planned. The Blood Committee reports 106 pints collected for the Red Cross. Next meeting set for Tuesday March 16.

Richmond Debaters clinch fifth straight tournament win
University of Richmond debaters captured the State TKA title at Bridgewater on March 5 and 6. Rex Adams and Dick Howard led the affirmative and Sandy Bassett and Jim Bush anchored the negative. Adams and Howard shared top speaker honors with 98 and 97 votes while Bush placed third and Bassett fourth. Bush also placed second in Extemporaneous Speaking. The team heads to Georgetown March 18-20 for the next challenge.
