Richmond Debaters Capture North South Trophy In Morgantown
The University of Richmond Debate Team won the Chauncey Brown ing Trophy as the outstanding southern squad at the North South Debate Tournament in Morgantown West Virginia finishing 8 4 and earning 59 of 72 possible points Georgetown Kentucky scored 55. Coach Dr James L Golden praised the team noting their fourth win of the year and the strong field of 20 schools 25 teams and 130 debaters Hodder earned a silver medal as second place in the after dinner contest and four team members plan to travel to Bridgewater to defend the state title.

YMCA Meeting March 4 and Other Campus Events
A mass YMCA meeting is set for Thursday March 4 at 8:00 in the Student Lounge with a Virginian Union University group. Richmond College ping-pong tournament entries are through Mr Stone Director of the Student Center with a trophy to the season end. On March 18 William and Mary College students will present an exchange vesper program and an Easter observance vesper is planned for April 15 featuring I Beheld His Glory. The Wesley Foundation will meet on March 11 at 7:45.

Irving Clarke reports significant progress on campus construction including the Law School exterior, library start within forty five days, and parking for fifty to sixty cars at the Richmond College entrance. Roads are widened, a bus stop area will be re landscaped, tennis courts and a drinking fountain are completed, boxwood shrubs from James Monroe’s Middleburg homeplace donated, and a full outdoor lighting upgrade planned within twelve months.

Minutes To Feast At Ewart's Tonight

Golden Rule Philosophy Earns Coach Recognition
The Edward R Murrow This I Believe program features Malcolm A Pitt whose Golden Rule philosophy guides his leadership of youth. The Dormitory Council of Richmond College met last night with president Dick Keith and reviewed progress. The burning trash issue was raised and assigned to Mr. Clark to relocate the site. A more adequate campus phone system was proposed at the first meeting.
