Massie Wins Presidential Post in University Revue Sweep

Stuart Massie leads the student slate as the University Players Revue crowns prize winners. Three radio talents will advance to semi finals and compete with a Washington winner for a chance on Horace Heidt's national broadcast. The Revue runs next Wednesday at 8 30 in the Playhouse with music, acts and an on stage orchestra.

Camera Club Elects Semester Officers and Sets Exhibition Plans

The University Camera Club elected Leon as president for the current semester with Morton Marks as vice president Boo Koltukian as secretary and Bob Stone as treasurer. They discussed entering prints in the Missouri Collegiate Photography Exhibition and a potential prize from Science Frustrated magazine.

The basement holds Brown and White offices a journalism room darkrooms yearbook and college magazine spaces and rooms for Radio not yet operating. Upper floors include the student government office near the main entrance but function as a hallway to the chaplain’s office.

Bill Hinnant announces a campus Greek Week from April 5 to 11 by the Interfraternity Better Relations Committee. Activities include skit night bonfire Greek Fair interdenominational service and chapter visits to improve relations between fraternities and non fraternity men.

Crawford to address PDE banquet at Westhampton College

Miss Katherine Crawford, Westhampton College alumna and author of Straw Fire, will return to campus to speak to Pi Delta Epsilon at the PDE banquet on Friday night, April 30. Her career includes teaching in Norfolk, WAVES service, and publishing a novel at 26 after completing Columbia University’s summer course under the GI Bill.

All-Campus Party sweeps Nine upholds at Richmond College

In a weather affected Student Government vote at Richmond College the All-Campus slate captures eight of nine positions. Stuart Massie wins the presidency with 43 percent vs Pete Singleton 31 percent. Lane, endorsed for vice president by both major slates, leads with 496 of 84 view-presidential votes. Cotton Billingsley trails. Secretary Suttenfield gains 421 votes while Moncure and Weber trail. Neil Cline wins treasurer with 415 votes. Don Fendler takes Athletic Council with 620 votes. Bootsie Dorsey leads all candidates with 677 votes, others follow. Total voters 949, a school record. some ballots discarded for discrepancies. Continued on Page 4.

Dignitaries Lead IRC Regional Conference at Chapel Hill

Dr Paul F. Douglass president of American University and Mme M Perreaux presided at the Chapel Hill IRC meet with 150 delegates from four states. The conference theme Peace or Pieces covered Occupation treaties UN plan imperialism in the Far East and European political conditions in six discussion groups.

Interview with Liberty Mutual rep for seniors on campus

Richmond College Forensic Council Hosts Annual Oratorical Contest

The Richmond College Forensic Council will hold a 6 45 pm March 10 in the Biology Building Lecture Room for a ten minute original speech contest. Winner earns inscription on a library plaque and invites to State and Grand National Tournaments along with gold oration keys for top two. Contestants include Margaret Alexander and others. judges are Professors Pierce Ball and Bushong.
