Annuals on Track for May Distribution
The final materials for the annual were completed Tuesday with engravings sent and proofs returned. It is hoped the annuals will arrive by mid May for distribution.
Three One Act Plays To Be Given March 12
Three one act plays will be presented at the Red Cross building Westhampton College Saturday March 12 at 8 oclock. One play A Night At An Inn is by the English V Class of Richmond College directed by Meyer Mahaney. The other two plays are by former and active University Players members directed by George Freedley.

Percival Rawlings Wins Declamation Contest Title
Rawlings Percival of John Marshall High School Richmond won first place in the Fifteenth Annual High and Secondary School Declamation Contest held Friday in the Richmond College auditorium. Second place tied between J B Harvie Jr of St Christopher's School and William Irvine of Petersburg High. Judges included W D Ellis, Ralph Chappell, and Willingham.

Three original plays by the Wil Class in advanced composition at Westhampton College will be presented April 17 under the direction of Miss Emily Brown. The Baltimore Oriole by Margaret Harlan Symptoms a farce by Mildred Anderson and Release a tragedy by Louise Gayle compose the program. Westhampton Discusses Financial Management Reforms
A five member faculty committee with campus leaders met last Thursday to map a new budget system and a bookkeeping course for incoming treasurers. Led by Miss Isabel Harris the plan would allocate funds more efficiently and announce the budget in summer to guide upcoming appropriations under Mrs Seay.

Richmonder Elected SGA President After Tight Race
William Hiter Atkins won the regular annual student government election held last Tuesday defeating Basil C. Minter and Milton Hitt. Clifton Forge’s A. P. Newcomb was named vice president. Atkins, a Richmond native and John Marshall High School graduate, was senior class president in 1923 and leads Phi Gamma Delta while presiding over Mu Sigma Rho and forensic activities. The vote took place in the faculty room from 9 to 3.

Elmer B. Potter a Richmond College freshman was named winner of the French Short Story Translation Contest sponsored by The Messenger the college monthly.
