Wiley Wilson Nominated for Westhampton College President
At a nominating committee meeting, Marion Wiley and Garland Wilson were named for Westhampton College Government Association president. Both juniors active in campus life, Wiley hails from Crozet Virginia and Wilson from Bowling Green Virginia. The nominating panel includes the college president, YWCA president, Athletic Association president, and four class presidents.

Interfraternity Council launches Open House Week with a Monday banquet in the refectory and an all fraternity dance at Millaisey Gym on Saturday. Eugene McCaul chairs the Relations Committee and Dr. S C Mitchell will toast the opening. Vaughan Gary, a Richmond alumnus, is the featured speaker. The event includes four days of inter-fraternity visits and house openings.

Progressives Capture SG Presidency and Sweep Elections
George, leader of the Progressive Party, won the Student Government presidency last Tuesday March 1 as part of a sweeping victory. He received 276 of 567 votes the highest tally in campus SG elections. The Progressives claimed eight of 10 positions including president vice president treasurer board of publications athletic council and three senatorial seats. Gerald Scott Independent trailed by 82 votes with 287 totals while Flavius Walker had the remaining 565 ballots. Russell Walton won the vice presidency for the Progressives with 310 votes.

March Hare Hop Set For March 5 At Co ed House
The Mortar Board hosts the March Hare Hop on March 5 from 9 to 12. Dress code is formal not rabbit attire. First 25 couples or stags receive refunds of 85 and 50 cents respectively, with lucky numbers guiding the handout. Roy Dennis Rabbiteers provide the music as attendees await the bunny featured in the fairy tale.
