VIPA Spring Convention In Lynchburg to Host Delegates
Seventeen University of Richmond students will represent the three campus undergraduate publications at the Virginia Intercollegiate Press Association spring convention in Lynchburg. Representing the Cadetom are Charles Taylor Jr and others, Web by Lewis Madison and Clara Noren, Messenger staff by Don Wilson and colleagues. Lynchburg College and Randolph-Macon College Women’s Division jointly host the VIPA event.

Westhampton College plans the annual Junior Prom for Saturday March 11 in Keller Hall. Dancing runs 8:30 p m to midnight with Dickie Radford orchestra. Juniors will receive Westhampton rings from their dates during the intermission. KA Dinner Dance Set for Tonight
Kappa Alpha will host its annual dinner dance tonight at the Hotel Jefferson with about 25 Richmond College KA members attending the state event. Dinner at 7 30 p m precedes a cocktail party and a short business session to elect state officers, then dancing in the Empire Room at 10. Open to KA alumni statewide.

University Band Opens Spring Season at Mary Washington
The University Band starts its spring season with a 3:30 p.m. concert at Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg. A supper and dance with UK musicians follows, and the program features classical and semiclassical pieces including Alla Marcia and Home on the Range for brass choir. A trumpet trio of Eddie Altman Wayne Freeland and Fulton Lee will perform The Three Jacks with the band.

Honor System Worries as 20 Magazines Disappear
Richmond College librarians report a theft wave with at least 20 magazines and several books walked off since fall term. Miss Lucy Throckmorton posted a theft list on November 7 and removed magazines to draw student attention, but losses continued including pages of an exhibit book.

RC and Newhouse lead rival parties with Burton as a junior class president candidate.
