Milon Lesnik Named May Queen at Richmond College

Milton Lesnik of Newark New Jersey has been declared Queen of the May at Richmond College for 1996 in a close vote. The Collegian notes it as a historic brain over brawn win amid ballot box suspicions and cites coronation planned for April first in the Collegian office.

Band Selects Practice Daily Whittet Heads On Rigmarole

McLean Whittet elected student leader and band librarian at a recent musical unit meeting. Larry Edberg chosen as business manager as the group aims to stay together through basketball season. A concert at year’s end is planned with rehearsals daily and new recruits urged to report for Monday practice at 1:30 PM in the Y M C A building. The Rigmarole 1986 edition will debut Friday at 8 PM in the University Playhouse with four student composed songs and a large cast including Jimmy Griffin Monroe Wells and Julian Houseman among others. Tickets go on sale tomorrow.

Societies Hold Joint Meeting on Campus

Two campus literary groups the Philologiana and the Mu Sigma Rhos met in the Administration Building at 7 15 P M for a jointly planned program held twice each semester. Hudson Price presided Paul Seigal spoke on amateur and professional wrestling and described modern tricks of fame. Men McClure reported on a World’s Fair Chicago trip and the Chicago Planetarium. Robert Black discussed the benefits of a college education.

Collegian Plans Poll on Graham Plan at Richmond

The Richmond Collegian will poll Richmond College and T C Williams Law School students today and tomorrow on the Graham Plan. The plan calls de emphasizing athletics and abolishing financial aid to athletes as part of college activities.

Senior Spring Dance Planned at Richmond College Gym

Richmond College senior class president Guthrie Brown announced tickets go on sale today for the Senior Spring Dance on March 14. The event runs from 9 pm to midnight in the gym with Roy Dennis' orchestra providing music. Tickets cost 75 cents for stag and date events. A central arrangements committee leads the preparations with Fred Black as chair and twenty seniors handling ticket sales.
