Final decision Monday on finals plan by council

Fraternity presidents and the Interfraternity Dance Committee will decide Monday afternoon whether to adopt a new finals plan. If approved the selected orchestra from Eddie Duchin Hal Kemp Ozzie Nelson Jan Garber or Glen Gray will tour the South June 12 and 13. Tickets will cost five dollars with each fraternity guaranteeing payment and handling ticket distribution. Any surplus from the plan would be refunded to fraternities and individuals.

Minstrel Fund Show by Co-Ord Juniors Set for March 16

Westhampton Juniors prepare Oddities of 35 a minstrel at University Mayhouse to raise funds for an organ in Vannon Chapel. Rehearsals progress smoothly with a full cast and skits including tap dancing and songs. Betsy Cannon chairs the organ fund and Mary Pat Early leads the chorus with Mary Mills as interlocutor.

Dean Announces Spring Office Hours

The Dean sets office hours for students in spring months. Monday to Friday mornings 9 30 to 10 30 and 11 30 to 12 30 with afternoon hours 2 to 5. Tuesday Thursday Saturday mornings 9 to 10. Students should observe these times to confer personally with Dean Raymond B. Pinchbeck. Feb 27, 1934.

Scott Named to Council Vacancy at Richmond College

At a February meeting, David N. Scott of Pittsburgh was appointed by President John Daley to fill the Honor Council vacancy left by Richard C. Poage. Scott has served on the Student Senate for a year and will become the college’s only junior on the council, with other members slated to be appointed May 1.

Poage Submits Platform For Richmond College

Richard C Poage who last week announced his candidacy for president of the Student Government Association submits his platform. He calls for abolition of senate keys to student senate members at the expense of the student body and notes the item costs about 60 per year. He also pledges general reforms including recreational facilities social relations with Westhampton College strong support for the Honor System and greater student engagement.

Hallett Named to Head Co-Ords For Next Year

Anna Hallett of Newport News Virginia was elected president of Westhampton College Government for 1934 35. She defeated Miss Helen Caulfield of Richmond after Theresa Carter withdrew, with the post to begin April 30.
