The University of Richmond finished undefeated and had three players chosen for the all state five by college coaches led by the Times Dispatch. Captain Roger Leverton Glenn Roberts and George Lacy earned unanimous election while Bill Downey and Louis Elmore added high point totals. The mythical quint included Leverton Downey Roberts with Lacy Elmore as guards and forward selections from regional schools. Coaches from Emory and Henry Virginia University Randolph Macon and others picked the team. Cy Young declined.
