Literary Societies Elect Officers At Richmond College
Mu Sigma Rho and Philologian elected winter term officers in joint meetings on Friday January 8. Officers included Sutton as president and Breitstein as treasurer. Editors and debate team assignments were decided for the coming year with faculty and alumni invited to address the societies.

Y M C A Gospel Teams Bring Christmas Spirit to Waverly Crewe
The Y M C A sent two Gospel teams over the holidays, one to Waverly Virginia and the other to Crewe. In Waverly a 1, Gardner leader team with Brannock Davis and Bansum impressed locals with warm hospitality and strong turnout. The party, led by John Martin of Washington and Lee University, met town leaders and residents, drawing broad interest in college students sacrifices and Christmas gospel outreach.

Harmony Club Barn-Storming Trip To Shore Cities
The Richmond College Harmony Club led by Pete Dunford Jake Privett Rat Johnson and Nick Carter toured Giobryonic cities including Pocomoke Cape Charles and Pomperanceville. They left December 28 and returned January 2 amid cold rain and ice. Carter and Johnson enjoyed a Pocahontue river trip to Norfolk where Privett and Carter joined later. most of the night was spent rehearsing.

Twelfth Night Carnival at Westhampton Seniors Crown Queen
Westhampton College observes Senior Day on Twelfth Night January 6 with a cap and gown parade. The Senior class hosts a bean cake ritual, tea with the Sophomores, and a coronation in the blue room with Miss Sara Thomas crowning the queen and Constance Gay and Wthel Smither as maids of honor.

Vesper Services at Tractive Across Westhampton Site
With Richmond College moving to Westhampton a new Sunday vesper service at 5:00 pm was begun. Every alternate Sunday features a musical service led by the chorus choir from Westhampton and Richmond Colleges under Mr. Ernest H. Cosby.
