Oratory Meet Set for Federal University Contest
The Richmond College Forensic Council fixed Monday February 14 as the date for the annual University Oratorical Contest. Open to bona fide students at Westhampton and Richmond Colleges, orations must run eight to ten minutes and copies must be sent to Harry Mears at least one week before the contest. Medals will be awarded and the first place winner will be invited to represent the University at the State Tau Kappa Alpha Tournament this spring.

Newport News Shipbuilding Tour by Society for Advancement of Management
Twenty three members of the Society for the Advancement of Management and two faculty members toured Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company by car on a Tuesday. 1949 Web yearbook to satire college life with new Look theme
The 1949 Web yearbook at the University of Richmond will satire college life using a Spider New Look on its eight division pages. A puppet Spider will appear in campus scenes and caricatures of prominent personalities replace last year's Chalk Dust Trail. The 264 page book features a maroon and silver padded leather cover and vivid depictions by student artists.
