Richmond College students vote on a barracks constitution to curb noise during study hours after a petition circulates. Writer Speaks In UR Chapel
Dr. Sherwood Eddy renowned author and lecturer spoke at the A J convocation in Gannon Memorial Chapel. He recently toured Asia with his wife visiting Japan Korea China India Ceylon the Philippines Pakistan and Turkey to study the communist menace. Eddy who authored 35 volumes has first hand knowledge of wartime leaders and events and was present at the Mukden capture in 1931 and heard Hitler in 1934. He has also visited Russia multiple times.

Under the sponsorship of the Thomas Lecture Fund of the University of Richmond Professor L A Willoughby renowned Goethe scholar will lecture in Keller Hall on January 9 at 8 pm His topic Goethe 1749 1949 He earned a doctorate from the University of Vienna taught at Oxford Manchester and University College London He lectured at Toronto in 1949 and will take a Columbia post in spring He edits German Life and Letters and will also lecture at Emory and Vanderbilt Colleges.

WC Girls Receive Diamonds and Pins During Holidays
Nine diamond rings were given to WC girls with four from RC men and three from RG seniors. Joyce Gustafson, Helen Lampathakis, and Dot Maddox received RG rings.
