Barrie's works attract wide attendance at Westhampton college and Richmond. The play Quality Street by the class of 1919 stands out, with Alice Sit by the Fire enhancing Barrie’s campus popularity. Director Miss Emily Ff Brown receives credit for the productions, and her absence underscored her value.
Heber Bishop representing Lynchburg High School won the annual High School and Secondary School Declamation Contest held at the University of Richmond in the Richmond College Auditorium Friday night. Sidney M. Friedberg was mentioned in the continuation note.
Dr. David G. Lyon of Harvard University presented the forty eighth lecture on Ancient Palestine as Revealed by Exploration. He outlined excavation methods and the Palestine diggings and explained how modern scholars solve ancient civilization questions at the James Thomas Jr Foundation. Tonight's 8 o'clock University Auditorium talk is open to the public.
The Palestine of Today In Its Relation to the Bible is the lecture topic. The speaker expects to continue the remarks on page 5.
Commencement at the University of Richmond marks ten years at Westhampton with elaborate ceremonies. Dr. F. W. Boatwright announces the event, expecting the largest alumni reunion in school history. Doctor of divinity degrees will be conferred upon Rev. R. S. Owens of Calvary Baptist Roanoke and Rev. Ira D. S. Knight of Park Place Baptist Nor.
An extended tour is arranged for southern college men and women with visits to Havre Interlaken Milan Venice Florence Rome Naples Pisa Genoa Genoa Riveira Nice Avignon Monte Carlo Paris Versailles and American battlefields. The itinerary includes Belgian and Belgian battlefields, with a private trip to Waterloo and a London side trip.
Plans outline a University of Richmond Glee Club appearance tonight at Highland Park Baptist Church. The club, recently organized by Dr. Emil Saverio, will present its first full ensemble performance this year, per club outlines.
About thirty five to forty members of the Richmond College alumni chapter gathered last Friday night at the cafeteria for their regular monthly meeting. Delegate Oslin and Dr S C Mitchell spoke, with Frank Louthan presiding. The group adjourned to watch the William and Mary basketball game in Roger Millhiser Gymnasium.
Students of Westhampton College designate February 28 as Tree Planting Day. All participants helped beautify the campus by planting Linden trees along the road from College Avenue to the campus. This year ten more Linden trees were added, continuing a recurring campus beautification custom.

Four candidates vie for Student Government president while many senate at large posts remain open as budgeting fees are paid. No candidate announced for treasurer. Morris E Milner and I C Broach seek editor in chief and W A Brokenbrough seeks managing editor of The Collegian.
At the last senate meeting a committee was appointed to oversee social activities of the campus in connection with the Social Center Room. J. P. Sadler Jr was named chairman with a representative from each class on the panel. The list of members continues on page 6.
The University of Richmond Dramatic Club selects casts for two one act plays to be presented Wednesday at 7 pm in the Red Cross Building Westhampton College. Rising of the Moon directed by Susie Blair features H. H. Dudley W. Ross Southward W. W. Moss and Mr Usury. The Knave of Hearts directed by George Freedley a Richmond College student and club executive member completes the cast.
