Scholarships Bring University Endowment Over Half Million
The University of Richmond endowment now surpasses 500000 dollars after two new scholarships of 2000 dollars each. one is a memorial to Rev Julian Broaddus D D funded by Berryville Baptist Church Virginia and the other by North Run Baptist Church Glen Allen Virginia. The early Richmond College scholarship was founded in 1882 by the ladies of First Baptist Church of Richmond.

Professor of Chemistry to Publish New Volume

Herman White Smithers Win West Virginia Preliminaries
Harry M. Herman Cary White and Herbert J. Smithers were chosen to represent John Marshall High School against the University of West Virginia in preliminaries held Saturday in the chapel building. Judges were Professors Harris and Ryland. The trio are graduates of John Marshall High and active debaters. Herman and Smithers were part of the championship team that defended the University last season in debates with Johns Hopkins and West Virginia and defeated New York University. Mr. Miller remains the fourth member of the team.

University President Speaks in Baltimore
