Junior Class Wins WC Song Contest at Westhampton
The Class of 1955 won the Westhampton WC Song Contest for the second consecutive year in Keller Hall gym. Marty Glenn led the group performing the proclamation song to the When Day Is Done melody with the Red and Blue We're Singing pep song on stage amid a Westhampton ring light display. Judges included Dr. Wilford Skinner, Dr. John White, and alumna Mayme O Florery Stone. second place went to the sophomores and the seniors placed third.

University Players Renovate Quonset Hut Playhouse
At a February workshop, University Players began remodeling the Quonset Hut Playhouse led by Professor Alton Williams and president Douglas Clark. The team replaced the curtain with a wooden proscenium, inventoried costumes and props, built new cabinets, designed sets for Charlie’s Aunt, and planned lighting and flooring improvements. Jean Ormerod chairs curtain replacement and acquired material to curtain windows for movie showings. an improved pathway and flooring are anticipated, followed by an Italian dinner hosted by Professor and Mrs. Williams.
