Spider Band to Award Keys for Service at Convocation
The Student Senate will award keys to Spider Band members who have two years of attendance and play in the fifth semester. Eligible juniors may receive in the first senior semester. A committee chaired by the band director will select recipients. The initiative aims to boost band participation.
Formal Playhouse Opening Deferred Due to Illness
The University Players defer the new Playhouse opening due to Miss Emily Brown illness. Miss Brown rests at Catawba Sanitorium but doctors expect her to return in two to three months to resume direction of the spring production. Clarence Gray and Vivian Barnett lead rehearsals for Meet the Prince amid the delay.

The Student Government Association sets final dates for candidacy and opens offices for the President Vice President Secretary Treasurer and four Senators at Large. The Athletic Association will elect a Secretary-Treasurer.
Candidates to Outline Platforms for 1983-34 Elections
Richmond College students are invited to endorse candidacy for Student Government posts by February 25. Eligibility limited to class of ’34 for president and vice president. secretary treasurer and four senators-at-large open to any student. Elections scheduled for March 7 with a 9 A.M. to 4 P.M. poll window and a point-based eligibility rule adopted by The Collegian platform.

Dr. FW Boatwright spoke, Dr. James shared memories, and the room houses items from Margaret James studio with a grand piano in the Drawing Room.
