Westhampton Song Contest Set for Friday Night in Gym
Westhampton College plans a song contest Friday at 7 30 in the Student Activities Building gym. Each class performs five songs with judging on ability appearance and attendance. Class song leaders are Senior Mary Ellen Tucker Junior Ann Ware Sophomore La Vinia Watson Freshman Virginia Herndon. The event resumes after wartime pause and will award class numerals engraved on the contest plaque.

War Bond Queen election planned at Westhampton campus
Westhampton War Council begins voting for Miss Westhampton with March 1 as start. Students, faculty and corps are urged to buy war stamps from council members to propel a candidate, Anne Powers La Vinia Watson or Gin Pitt, to crown after a two week period at a major rally. The second drive supports the University of Richmond Million Dollar Fund pledges via war stamps and bonds.
