Seventeen Virginia high school students from Petersburg Hopewell and Chesterfield County compete in a 13 week radio series for scholarships totaling 2100. The first nine broadcasts award 150 tuition prizes, with three finalists on May 16 and a final 750 prize for the winner.

Richmond College Senate Sets March 4 Vote On Amendments
In a February 19 meeting the Richmond College Senate approved five constitutional amendments. They cover class officer election timing for freshman and all officers, senate power to ratify amendments, board of publications eligibility, and Spider Handbook staff appointment by the new student government president with Senate approval. Ratification will occur at the March 4 Student Government election.

IFC Blood Drive For Korea Next Week At Richmond
Interfraternity Council hosts a mobile blood unit on March 20 at the University of Richmond to collect 125 pints from students for armed forces in Korea. Donors under 21 need parental consent. The Westhampton senior class chose twelve members for the 1952 May Court. The May Queen and Maid of Honor will be picked by student vote on February 26 at the college government meeting. Eight court members hail from Virginia including Beverley Randolph and Sue Peters.

For the second year in a row the class of 1953 won the Westhampton Song Contest held February 20 in the gym. The class of 1955 took second place while the classes of 1954 and 1952 earned honors for directing and spirit and diction respectively.
