Press Association Meets Here in 1928
The Intercollegiate Press Association named the University of Richmond as meeting place in 1929 after the inaugural Farmville gathering last Friday and Saturday. Emanuel Emroch was elected president. J H Jackson and P R Harrison named first and second vice presidents. R P Johnson of the University of Richmond elected secretary treasurer as about sixty delegates from Virginia colleges attended. The group aims to raise standards of college publications. prizes announced include The Flat Hat of William and Mary and Ring Tam Phi of Washington and Lee. Hollins College Magazine received a cup.

Westhampton Debaters Defeat William and Mary
Westhampton College defeated William and Mary in debate last Friday evening in the drawing room of Westhampton. Sarah Cohn and Catherine Branch upheld the affirmative and won the favorable decision of all judges. The subject was Re solved There Shall be a Separate Department of Aviation With the Head in the President's Cabinet and both teams at the two schools earned three favorable judge decisions. TheOxford plan of individual rebuttal was used. The judges here were Miss Van Greenleaf Miss Eva Branch and Mr Jas H iBarret.

A list of revisions includes an installation oath for all Student Government officers an annual auditing of the treasurers books disbursement by voucher only secret ballot for amendments a simplified honor code all by laws in effect until repealed distribution of constitutional documents to each matriculant yearly approval of managers and assistants by a committee including the Director of Athletics a definite installation date for officers and a monthly summary of Student Senate activities.
University of Richmond to Enter Parade Float Tomorrow
The University will join the Stadium Pageant Parade in Richmond tomorrow afternoon with a large decorated track float carrying Spider athletes in football basketball baseball track tennis and boxing uniforms plus a cheerleader. The lineup was arranged by Varsity Club president Guy D. Mattox and the parade departs Belvidere and Broad Streets at 1 30 p m.

Summer Session Dates Set at University of Richmond
Dean W L Prince announces the Ninth Summer Session at the University of Richmond from June 18 to August 17 1928. Nine week terms let students earn up to ten semester hours with three lecture courses yielding nine hours and lab work up to ten. Courses span biology chemistry economics education English French history mathematics physics psychology sociology Spanish for regular degree credit and pre medical requirements.

Freshman Editorial Contest Entries Submitted
The University of Richmond Pi Delta Epsilon contest ended February 15 with entries in the hands of judges Professors Goode Handy and Jones. Prizes will be awarded February 22 in the chapel, and the first place editorial will appear in next week's Collegian. The contest, announced December 16, 1927, was extended from January 12 to attract more freshman participation.
