Richmond College fraternities plan Help Week to repaint the band room exterior under supervisor Joan Anderson. Five pledge groups will work one day each, with the fifth shift claimed for potential extra day. University administration provides materials in green paint.

Westhampton College Song Contest Set for February 24
Westhampton College to stage a song contest at Radio City Music Hall style but at Westhampton’s venue February 24 at 7 50 p m. Each class will present an original proclamation song and three selections chosen by song leaders Ann Gunningham Leta Mie Tucker Marty Glenn and Jane Gill for freshmen through seniors. Judges include Dr John White Dr N W Skinner and Mrs Mamie O Flattery Stone. Proclamations feature classes of 1917 1951 1950 and 1952 with the 195% proclamation to the tune of Blue Moon. Sponsored by the Athletic Association led by Barbara Cronin with Costello Washburn assisting.

The Richmond College Debate Team will compete in the North South Tournament at West Virginia University in Morgantown on February 26 and 27. Represented by Jim Bush Ken Hodder Sandy Bassett and John Miller the team will argue that the United States Should Adopt a Policy of Free Trade. Ken Hodder will also participate in the After Dinner Speaking Contest after the banquet.

Weekly Socials Start Tomorrow at University of Richmond
University of Richmond students may gather at the Student Center for a first informal social tomorrow from 7 30 to 11 30 pm. The Harlequin Club sponsors with Mr Stone coordinating. Sock Hop Set for February 19 at Richmond College
Richmond College junior class hosts a sock hop on Friday February 19 from 8 to 11 30 p m in the Student Center lounge. Guests must check shoes at the door and compete for King and Queen of Sock based on the most interesting socks. James Murphy chairs the dance committee. Booster tickets are $1 and on sale from junior class members.

Barbara Cronin of Montclair New Jersey named Web Beauty for 1954 by John Robert Powers head of the Powers Agency in New York City. Dormitory Council Elects Chairman
The newly elected Dormitory Council at the University chose Dick Keith as chairman at its first meeting. A committee including Bill Reynolds Gene Thomas Dick Gascoigne and Ike Cumbee will draft by laws and procedures. Keith and Thomas will assist incumbents in exploring a university wide telephone switchboard with Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company to place phones in dorms and other locations.

Hodder Amendment Passes in Richmond College Senate
The Hodder Amendment to move Richmond College House elections to the same day as regular class elections was passed unanimously and sent to students for ratification next month. The change amends Article six, Section five of the SGA Constitution. The Senate also approved a second installment of the college budget totaling $8 605 per student, and created an acting Historian post to record student government activities.
