Richmond College Senate Revises Election Rules
The Richmond College Senate revised RO election statutes noting a one week petition period from two weeks before to one week before election day. Unopposed candidates may receive yes no or write in votes, but a ballot is void if a write in is included with a no vote. Unopposed candidates must win by a plurality. Effective for March 7 SGA General Election.

University Sells Robins Stock to Reinvest in Higher Yields
The University of Richmond plans to sell 750000 shares of A H Robins Company common stock, a 31 million potential gain, representing 70 to 75 percent of its Robins holdings. Proceeds will be reinvested to diversify endowment investments and raise yielding securities.

Duke Chosen As Associate At University Board
NBC correspondent Paul Duke was named associate member of the university board of associates, the first appointment to the new board created by the trustees. President Heilman announced the action at the President's Advisory Council meeting. The PAC discussed inadequate medical facilities and Heilman urged a faculty student committee to study the issue. He also noted the university supports the Stone Bill providing private college student loans up to 800 dollars in the Virginia General Assembly.
