Trustees decide to abandon the three term grading system starting in 1927-28 and replace it with the standard semester plan used by leading colleges. The change follows a recommendation from university heads at the February 3 meeting at Hotel Richmond.
Three one act plays directed by University Players will open the club season next Friday night at the Red Cross building. The program features Ros tand's The Romancers a light romantic comedy and Thread O Scarlet a strong amateur tragedy starring Sidney Upjohn and R N Sibold. Rehearsals have run daily and organizers aim for a large turnout.
The Spider Chanters Richmond College Glee Club will perform at South Hill Virginia on Tuesday evening February 15. They depart by bus from campus around 2:00 PM and return the same night. The program includes solo and chorus numbers, musical saw pieces, and novelty acts with a campus life theme. Directed by Edward D Naf the group has given several public performances in Richmond and across the state.
The Student Government Association regualr meeting discussed budget fees. The finance committee urged treating non payment as a major honor system violation and proposed bringing violators before the Student Senate with possible expulsion for late payment after the session starts.
At a trustees meeting of the University of Richmond Dr Bodkwright said one fourth of the Centennial Campaign total $500000 has been subscribed with contributions from Norfolk Danville Portsmouth Eastern Shore counties and $100000 from the General Education Board of New York Representatives from the three colleges recommended adopting the semester system Leaders from business and academia were elected to fill vacancies caused by deaths and resignations The group discussed plans to push the drive to a finish by December 31 1927 and a luncheon followed on the campus after a visit to the university\n
Discussion on who should appear on the Spring Ballot for Spider Head officials. The amendment to the Student Government Constitution proposes electing the Editor-in-Chief and the Business Manager of the Spider by the Senior Class or the entire student body. Richmond Col is named in the proposal.

Shenandoah by Bronson Howard is chosen for the 1927 senior play with tryouts set for Monday February 14 at 4 00 PM in the Drawing Room at Westhampton Everyone is eligible to try for parts as the best cast will be used The production features a fourteen male and seven female roles and a special orchestra will perform the original southern score
Thirty four students received marks on their January work earning places on the Roll of Honor under the new rating system. C. W. Givens L. H. Walton and N. T. Cooke achieved A averages in all studies. Dean Prince praised the large number and noted the list should grow as students adjust to revised requirements.

Intensive plans for an extravagant Spider Frolics show aim to entertain with musical and humorous talent on February 25. The campus event features a minstrel style white and blackface performance in the Red Cross building, with Leslie Jones Eugene West Sam Banks Abie Newcomb Neenie Penzold Lloyd Castor Pop Sibold among the listed cast. Admission is fifty cents.
The Ministerial Association hosts its annual banquet at the William Byrd Hotel at 7 30 P M on Saturday February 19.
