Visiting Scientist Dr John Couch to Lecture at UR Campus
Dr John N Couch Kenan Professor of Botany at UNC will visit University of Richmond Wednesday and Thursday February 15 16 sponsored by the Virginia Academy of Science and UR. He will speak on Nematode catching Fungi at 730 pm in Maryland Hall 110 and a technical fungi talk at 130 pm in room 110 Maryland Hall. He has won the Walker Grand Prize in Natural History and the Meritorious Teachers Award and is a member of the Botanical Society of America American Mycological Society and the National Academy of Science. He is an AAAS Fellow and author of The Genus Leptobasidium.

Alumni Class Agents Meet at University of Richmond
The Alumni Fund class agents from each graduating class will gather on the University of Richmond campus. Last year they raised 61000 from gifts of 1 to 3000 dollars, funding the Student Activities Building. The 300 agents meet at 4 p.m. in the Student Center with Wilmer OFlaherty presiding, followed by Dr Modlin's address and dinner, then the Richmond West Virginia basketball game.
