U R Students Serve as Chaplains at Virginia Prison

University of Richmond sophomores Thomas Mains and Elliot Kermeyer join the chaplain staff at the Richmond prison. They will interview the 1900 inmates for 10 to 25 minutes each, noting education levels and religious backgrounds. Mains described limited awareness of wrongdoing and the death chamber, while Kermeyer noted many prisoners are unmarried or separated, with 15 to 20 percent feeling remorseful and hopeful after release.

French Orpheus To Be Shown Wed By University Society

Orpheus Cocteau's film adaptation of the myth is scheduled for 9 30 and 7 30 on Wednesday February 15 in the Physics Lecture Room. It has won the Grand Prix de la Critique International at Venice and draws praise from Newsweek and the British Film Institute for its dramatic intensity and magical balance.

Murphy Funeral Set for Saturday in South Boston

Military funeral services for James K. E. Murphy are planned for 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in South Boston Virginia. The 1955 University of Richmond graduate and ROTC veteran died at Gilbert Field near Winter Haven Florida while on his first solo flight. He was 23. Survived by his wife Patricia Minor mother Mrs Lillie Murphy and brothers Harold and Charles Murphy.
