University of Richmond Marks Centennial With Banquet
The University of Richmond plans a March 4 banquet at the Commonwealth Club to celebrate its 100th anniversary, with Governor James H. Price and the General Assembly attending. Dr. Boatwright will review the century of progress and receive a charter copy, and the event will be broadcast on WRVA 10:30 p.m. The Assembly will hear centennial remarks from lawmakers and faculty during the week.

The Philologian Literary Society elected Joe Wornom as president at its last meeting. Gilbert Siegal, Billy Hughes, and T Emmett Warriner were chosen as vice president secretary and treasurer to support Wornom for the current semester. An open forum followed with debate on Roosevelt running for a third term.

Interfraternity Week set at Richmond College February 12 17
The third annual Interfraternity Relations Week at Richmond College runs February 12 to 17. Frats visit other houses to foster unity, with a banquet Tuesday at 7 16 PM in the dining hall priced at fifty cents per plate. Dr. Theodore S. Adams will speak. B West Tabb may preside. A $65 prize goes to the chapter with the highest attendance, and refreshments are provided at the Mid Winter set on February 17.

Sophs and Frosh Elect Dance Committee Chairs
Mark Willing was elected chairman of the Soph-Frosh Dance committee at a joint meeting Monday in the Playhouse. The date remains undecided though it will likely be in April and the dance will follow the traditional formal format. Ralph Kinsey named chairman of the floor committee with Emmett Warriner, Derek Hayley, Henry Garnett, and Roy Wymbs leading the publicity, ticket, decorations, and orchestra committees respectively.

Richmond Students Campaign for University Song from Fred Waring
University of Richmond students lead a campaign to win a new school song from Fred Waring and his Pennsylvanians. About 800 post cards are to be mailed, with backing from the Mitchell Literary Society and Dean Pinchbeck. Richmond College Debaters Sponsor Isolation Discussion Broadcast
Four members of the Richmond College debate team will host a live extemporaneous broadcast on WRNL at five PM discussing whether the United States should adopt a policy of strict isolation in armed conflicts. The team will argue both pro and con positions with Straughan Gettier and T. Warriner Jr. on the affirmative and Frank Conner and Theodore Turner on the negative.

Richmond College faculty decided to start regular 2:30 PM afternoon classes next session. Classes will meet Monday Wednesday and Friday for fifty minutes. Tuesday and Thursday options were discussed, possibly 75 minutes, to cut morning overcrowding.
